The staff was extremely friendly even though there was a wait they communicated well. Seemed like the staff wanted to be there unlike a lot of Jiffy Lubes I have been to where there was a lot of complaining and foul language it was good to hear the opposite they were talking to each other and it was all around just clean and they didn't push an air filter change which most places do as I told them I change it myself even though there filter was a very reasonable price.

The staff at the Dunkirk, Maryland Valvoline were extremely friendly and helpful. I spoke to David on the phone about an issue I was having getting an online coupon but he assured me that it was no issue and they would honor the coupon when I brought in my car. Zack was the person who came out initially to help me. He was filling in from the Waldorf location and he and David answered all my questions. Zack was very friendly and professional, he went over all the services with me and explained extra services that were available. Ryan worked on my car including checking tire pressure and assisting with the oil change. My visit was very quick and everyone was really great, I would definitely go back and would highly recommend this location to everyone. Thanks!

I needed a rear light bulb changed and I was in and out of the shop in 15 minutes. I try to get the most work done I can with Valvoline so I can maximize my time. The crew at Dunkirk is ALWAYS prompt and helpful.

I only had to wait a few minutes before entering the service lane, the team went right to work checking all of the lights. The blonde lady who explained and helped me with what service to get was very friendly, not pushy at all made it a pleasurable experience. The rest of the guys were very friendly also, I actually enjoyed it cuz I usually do it myself. I even had a new air filter installed ONLY because she showed me the old one versus the new one, I obviously needed one. I will be back to that location, they were great.

I can go to Valvoline and be in and out in 15-20 minutes, the staff has always been very friendly, helpful and professional at the Dunkirk Valvoline. I had a tail light out, they fixed that for me, they were always telling me what they were doing, not leaving me sit and wondering what was being done if anything. I own 5 vehicles and I take 3 of them there and when its time for oil changes in my other 2 vehicles, I will take them there also. It's so quick and easy and saves me a lot of time and money and headaches from having to run up and down the road to take my vehicles to the dealer and it take the dealer 2 days to get my vehicles back to me. Love this station and location.

I spoke to Justin over the phone who was very very helpful. Very friendly! when I arrived it was a breeze. Justin directed me into the bay himself and remembered me from called based off my vehicle. NO pressure for additional sales; will definitely use this Valvoline again! I plan to get my tires rotated Friday since I didn't have time this visit.
Nice and knowledge staff
Normally I get my oil changed at the Edgewater, MD Valvoline, but decided to visit Dunkirk this time. Was pulled into the bay immediately, greeted, serviced and was out in no time. My technician did a great job explaining what was happening to my vehicle and optional service available. Kudos to this particular location.
Shop team is always professional, polite. Shop is always clean and well maintained. I was actually wondering how they keep it so clean as they were performing the work.

Staff was so courteous. That's unusual nowadays. It was so hot that day and anyone would be miserable working in it but you couldn't tell with them. Beat customer service I've received in a long time.

The prices are a little high. Valvoline is usually my last resort when I'm headed out of town last-minute. I'd rather make an appointment at my car dealership or Mr. Tire and spend 29.99. I spend almost twice that amount at Valvoline. At least at Jiffy Lube, they vacuum out the car and clean the windows. They were kinda busy, so they were bouncing from car to car. The guy I had asked someone else to finish me up. He had time to go downstairs and come back and I was still sitting there.
Some caps were sealed and I did not understand thst
I took my car to a repair shop the following day and the air filter holder was loose - nothing was mentioned to me during the oil change.
I felt like the pricing for the different types of oil was too much. I mean, after all, you buy it in bulk at a discount, couldn't the prices drop just a bit?
Only because I have provide my own oil each time due to the age of my car and do not get a discount when using the service.
The service that I decided on was 59.99 but this does not include labor and so the service was 20.00 more than expected.
I was not made aware of the price of an oil change until the process was complete. I usually use coupons which makes the service affordable for me. Had I known the price was going to be so high I would have either done it myself this time since I had no coupon or I would have gone to another provider which always has a lower price but is not a convenient in location.
when I pulled in i was greeted by 2 employees. they did the light check which was fine. when it came to the actual oil change they were lost. one employee stood there and had to be told step by step on what to do. He could not find the oil filler cap, and seemed lost on how to remove the filter which is located right on top of the engine. They did not seem very confident in what they were doing. Then finally another employee came over after he was done with his car and seemed to take over with authority. The staff personel seems to have changed over the last year.
I asked if the air filter was checked and the rep said yes though she never showed me. I don't believe she checked it because last time I was in they recommended replacement though said I needed to get one from the manufacturer because they didn't carry the type needed. I bought one from the manufacturer and it is in my trunk. If the rep had checked it, she would have told me the same thing about needing a new one and I would have pulled the new one from my trunk.
No real issues
Your prices are simply uncompetitive. However, it is SO convenient that I will most likely continue to patronize Valvoline...I'm sure the company has examined its pricing structure and found it satisfactory BUT, I would imagine that if it brought your prices in line with its less convenient competitors, you volume increase would more than make up for the loss of per-customer revenue...

Just cost. Your rear differential service is more expensive than competitors, but I did it at valvoline do to the conveinience.
Cost a little high. Used to basic services (vacuuming, windshield cleaning at other facilities).
There were some staff members (maybe in training) not too sure about certain procedures. Also there is always room for improvement .
The oil I needed was not available, so I had to go full synthetic, which was a significant step up in price.
It's only an oil change...
I have a lifetime free oil change from my dealer but I can only use it 4 times in a calendar year. If need an oil change after my free oil changes I will use Valvoline
They were short staffed. Took about 35 minutes to get the job done. Needed a new air filter but they did not have it in stock.
The price was high in my opinion, $46.00 for a standard oil change was more than I expected. Walmart can do the same exact service for $30.00.
slow down when explaining the services
The price was more than a few other places I have been to get the oil changed, even with a $10 off coupon. I wad made to feel as though I had to buy certain items that I usually would not purchase at an oil change, after already spending more than I wanted to simply for the oil change itself. The customer service was great and the techs were fine, it was simply the pushing of products, any they could possibly link to what they "saw" during their checks, and the overall price for a simple oil change. It's hard to justify an oil change being over $20, with or without coupon, when there are ample other maintenance service centers that offer that price or even lower with coupon.
The price is high without discount coupons, the push to add other services is a bit much especially when the reason you came was just for a FAST oil change.
There was a little bickering among the employees when I was there. Also, my hood was notproperly latched upon completion of services.

Because they didn't offer a tire rotation for my vehicle and I might as well go somewhere else to get everything done all at once then getting a tire rotation separate evrytime
While the store was not at all busy, the staff seemed to pause occasionally to 'chat', rather than completing tasks as quickly as prudent.
There was a long wait to get into the service bay due to multiple customers. This happens and is not the fault of the employees

A woman who worked there with long hair in a French twist type hairdo was complaining loudly that they weren't going to be able to eat lunch (it was around 1145am). I almost asked if they wanted me to come back later. I really liked the woman who actually waited on me...she was very helpful and instructive....one of the best employees I have experienced at Valvoline. The Dunkirk Valvoline seems really unorganized. One bay was not even opened and cars lined up outside were two deep. I really prefer the Edgewater shop - they are fast and helpful and always energetic.

The only issue I have about my visit is that they did not fully fill my transmission fluid. Otherwise I will keep returning to Valvoline. I think they are great.

41 dollars is quite expensive for a oil change. When all local mechanics are charging only 1995 for oil change.
The service was great! If I had completed this survey the first time I went it would have been highly satisfied, but the bar has been set high from that point forward. It will be hard to obtain highly satisfied now.
Not that big of a deal but my hood was not latched all the way when the job was complete but it looked like it was so after i left your shop and was driving down the road it popped up but didn't open because of the safety latch so i pulled over and latched it all the way. Also I was watching the oil change in the bay next to mine as i was sitting there and noticed that the mechanic had put the oil plug back in the vehicle before all of the old oil was finished draining out and installed the new oil filter before the old oil was finished draining out. Shouldn't all the old oil be drained out ?
If it was just a little cheaper it would be perfect.

The staff was pleasant, there was some delay, my tech leaving my vehicle to assist other staff with the vehicle they were working on.
the guys working on my truck didnt know how to change the oil in my truck ,and complained about having to work on it .
My cabin air filter wasn't checked. The car next to me had his hood slammed (not forcibly) and they couldn't do a tire rotation on his care because they couldn't find the right tools to get the lugnut cover off.
The service lanes were not managed well. The technician did not check my transmission fluid level.

Attendant told me to get in lane two, it would be about 5 minutes. Soon afterward lane three was finished and attendant had me move to lane three.A check of my air filter revealed it could be changed however none were available. I was offered a chance to pay for a new filter and I would be called when it was in. I really want to make several trips.A check of my battery was performed. I just finished completely cleaning the corrosion off the terminals. The attendant did not properly replace the terminal cover on the positive terminal.One attendant continually slipped off to eat something. I know because I saw her return chewing something.There seemed to be excessive banter among the attendants.
I have a 2014 Ram, that I like to keep clean. After waiting forever because of the apparent computer problem"they have all the time"; I got home to see not just a couple oil smears but oily glove marks and finger prints everywhere driver door,Left and right front quarter panels, hood, grill you name it if it was on the front of the truck there was an oil trail.
Service technician Megan was rude and condescending . I would not return to your location if I had to deal with her again.
Every time i come here i tell them how much i want to spend and what kind of oil change i want. At the end of my service they end up telling me an amount that is almost double what i told them in the beginning. It is way over priced and they always try and trick you into paying more. i will not be back.
I had to wait over an hour to have my oil changed. I waited outside 30mins. Then once in the garage I waited over 30 mins to get oil change. It was very hot and I have 2 children under two. I was worried about them getting over heated. Also it irritated me that the tech touched my baby's hand with her dirty hands. She was very nice but I don't think it is appropriate to reach into the window to touch my baby.
You used to have a tall blonde female manager. Shanna, she and the way her staff carried themselves is why I returned. You cost way too much but it was worth it to me due to the amazing customer experience I had each and every time. She was consistent, the store was always clean and we always felt very welcome. Not anymore! That place is a mess! The employees no longer look like they care, the manager could care less as well. Told a friend of mine they couldn't do a tire rotation when he's had it done thee before. I am just amazed how the absence of one person could make this much change. If it were my call, find her and give her whatever she wants to come back. I will not be back until then.
