When entering the bay, the very first staff member seemed irritated from something and like he was over the day. He got me down for an oil change and asked if I had coupons, which I did from a non-profit fundraiser I purchased 5 oil changes. The guy rolls his eyes and says “I’ve never seen this before” which I reply “they said that last time, and they applied it as a credit and I paid the additional”. Another staff member comes to take over and he says he’s going to ask the manager, returns and says they have no way of knowing if the certificate is real, they’ve never seen it before, and they weren’t going to accept it- AFTER they drained my oil. A lot of back and forth, I showed them the contact info from the corporate office… by the time I paid and went to leave, he then explains they have just denied anything from the corporate office because they don’t add the codes into the system correctly, so they’ll just refuse them. I’ve been coming to Valvoline exclusively for 10 years or so and I doubt I’ll ever be back and get credit for the 5 oil changes I paid for.
