Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I needed an oil change at the last minute as I was leaving for a long road trip the next day. The oil change was quick, and efficient, no waiting, with no appointment. The workers were courteous and personable. I purchased a new engine air filter, which they installed, but later discovered that the gasket was improperly seated and did not make a good seal, so I had to re-install it myself. I’d still recommend this shop, and I would go back next time I need an oil change in a hurry.

I'm not one to write reviews especially not bad ones, however I'm so disappointed with this location and Valvoline as a whole honesty. I went for an oil change the end of October and was talked into a tire rotation which is whatever. During the precheck they do I was told my battery was reading as bad and needed to be replaced. They said you can get it here and we offer a 3-year warranty and I told them that I know about the warranty because I got a battery at another location less than 2 years ago so it's actually still under warranty, but they said it will be in the system and I can go to any location. The tech then said they would take a look and talk to the manager. After the service was complete another tech asked if there was anything else I needed and I mentioned I was told about needing a new battery. The 2nd tech then said they would check with the manager, they were told "oh no she doesn't need a new battery, and they just cleaned something and said it was good. I felt they were either trying to scam me into buying a new battery I didn't actually need, or they knew I needed a new battery but weren't trying to honor the warranty. Well surprise it was the second option as exactly one month later my car wouldn't start, I had to get it jumped multiple times in order to take it to a second location in LB to get my replacement as I didn't trust this location. I was told well this is your replacement so if you have an issue, you're on your own. A legit week later my car wouldn't start, and I had to take to another mechanic after another week when they had an opening as I absolutely was not going back to any Valvoline location. I was told some cable or connectors needed to be replaced, something the tech would've seen when checking my battery and for sure when replacing the battery, but they didn't say anything. And to top it all off while I'm dealing with my car now being without my car and being repaired, I am charged again on 12/3 from the 10/24 service. When I call, they tell me it was some sort of glitch that authorized customers from this location from that day but should fall off. So, I absolutely won't return and honestly wouldn't recommend to anyone. I will say the staff was friendly however that's as far as the positives go.
