I’ve been a loyal customer for over 10+ years and have spent thousands of dollars here, but after today, I will never return. ​I was stuck in line for nearly 40 minutes with only one car ahead of me; no vehicles were leaving the bay for what was supposed to be a 15-minute oil change job. In my opinion, I suspect this delay was due to poor leadership and inefficiency within the service bay. To let my kids burn off some energy, I allowed them to play on the large grass area nearby in the back. The manager, Mia, came out on a total power trip and told us they couldn't be there (mind you this was the first time she even came out of the bay, god forbid if she came out earlier to provide customer service due to the long wait). ​When I informed her that I would simply take the kids off the property entirely while my wife stayed with the car to finish the service, she clearly didn't like losing control of the situation. According to her, she called the General Manager, Kyle, then decided they wouldn't service our car at all today and told us to come back tomorrow and maybe I could talk him in to allowing me to be a customer. Yeah - okay - good luck with that. It is absurd to turn away a decade-long customer simply because you're upset that you couldn't force children to sit in a car for an hour. ​Advice to others: Go to Walmart or a local shop instead. Walmart is half the price, they actually take appointments, and they are much faster. Valvoline needs to teach their management common sense and basic respect—they just lost a long-term customer over nothing.
