Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I arrived at the facility on a Sunday. The young lady mentioned to me that the POS system was down, but she was working on it to get it up and running once 11 o’clock hit the bay doors was open. My oil change was quick and fast and I was very satisfied with my service.

I arrived at the Valvoline location on Highway 5 in Douglasville, Georgia at about 6:30 PM on 10/31/2025. My associates names were Brandon, Aiden, and Niko. To preface my review: I realize that this way only 30 minutes before they closed on Halloween night, which I do apologize for. HOWEVER, they told me that they could still provide me with a full service oil change despite the time. If they were too busy with their closing duties to service my vehicle, they could have just told me that. I would have happily returned at a later date. However, they instead decided to provide me with the most inadequate service I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing at a Valvoline establishment. As someone that also works in the customer service field, I always take into account how long it will take me to complete my closing duties when considering when to stop accepting customers. This ensures that I never feel pressured to rush customers or provide them with sloppy service in an effort to make-up time. To summarize the most disappointing aspects of my experience at your establishment: - They did not check or top off my fluid levels, check or refill my tire pressure, check any of my lights, or reset my oil service indicator light. - They did not use the full synthetic oil, that I explicitly asked for, and instead used the synthetic blend. - They acted like I was an annoyance when I informed them that I also wanted to purchase a change of windshield wipers. - Even though I asked one of the associates to at least show me how to reset my OWN oil service indicator light, the associate walked directly into the office as soon as my oil change was completed instead of helping me as he agreed to. - The associate that processed my transaction displayed a rather rude and unprofessional demeanor. Overall, after this experience, I never want to return to or recommend this location again. Instead, I have the urge to warn people to not waste their money and to take their business elsewhere.
