Be aware. I never leave one-star reviews, but this experience was so concerning that I feel it needs to be shared. I brought my car in to the Bosanko location for a routine oil change, and during the visit I was told that I needed a transmission fluid flush and replacement. I take maintenance seriously, so I approved the service, which cost about $164. A few months later, I brought my vehicle to the dealership for its 100,000-mile service. During that visit, they informed me that my transmission fluid was overdue for replacement and recommended a flush. I told them I had just had that service completed at my previous oil change. They were puzzled and decided to take a closer look. After inspecting the vehicle, they found that the transmission fluid was dark and old. They also examined the bolts and access points that would have been used during a flush and showed me photos indicating that none of them had been touched—something they said would be clearly visible if the service had been performed, even within the past year. Based on both the condition of the fluid and the untouched hardware, they concluded that the transmission service had not been done. I contacted Valvoline, and they provided an invoice confirming that I had paid for a transmission flush. I then submitted a claim with them, including the dealership’s findings and photos, and gave them an opportunity to refund the service and make things right. Unfortunately, I never received a response. In my view, I was charged for a service that was not performed. I would not have known this without having a certified mechanic inspect the vehicle, which makes this especially concerning. As an additional note, around the same time, my wife visited Valvoline and was told her battery was dead and needed replacement. She had recently installed a new battery, declined the service, and had it tested elsewhere—where she was told it was in excellent condition. I understand that mistakes can happen, and I’m generally very forgiving when they do. However, this situation is different. This was blatant and unethical. I made a good-faith effort to resolve the issue directly and was met with no response. Because of that, I feel obligated to share my experience and will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
