They could have correctly reattached the "cap" that was removed to access the oil pan. Instead they did not securely screw/bolt the cap back into it's position and later that afternoon/evening and fell down and became damaged (e g., scraped and torn from dragging along the road). The damage wasn't discovered until the next morning as my family was preparing to begin a road trio for the holiday. We postponed our trip by one day to return to the service center to have the problem addressed. The manager was on duty and very graciously and securely reattached the "cap." Unfortunately the danage to the cap is irreparable. I also learned that the error could have resulted in far worse consequences and could have caused a tragic accident. Please review and enhance your quality control protocols as warranted. This type of error and oversight is very disappointing and raises concerns that there may occasionally be more grievous oversights not visible to the untrained and unsuspecting otherwise loyal customer.
