I sent my 16 year old daughter to the Valvoline in Glen Carbon, Il. to get her oil changed in a 2022 Jeep Renegade. About 2 weeks later I noticed a large oil stain in our carport. I looked outside and there were 2 large stains on the road in front of our home. My wife has a 2016 Challenger, and I thought it might be from her car since it's older, but to be safe I checked both cars. Oil was dripping from my daughters new oil filter. I sent her back to Valvoline. They admitted that the filter was incorrectly installed and not tightened properly. They changed out the filter and topped off her oil, but there was no apology, no coupon, no free oil change. The day she went for the initial oil change it was hot, and they were busy. I have sympathy for the workers in this heat, but it's inexcusable. Had she been away at college she would have blown her engine. It was a good lesson for her and for me. Valvoline do better!
