Technician checked oil life and informed me that I was only at 50% and didn't technically need an oil change today. I informed him I was about to go on a road trip and he assured me the oil would be fine for that trip. He explained that the reminder sticker was set for every 3,000 miles and that my oil (full synthetic) would take my car to 6,000 miles. He offered to check all fluid levels, even if I decided not to get oil changed at this visit. I thanked him for his honest assessment and went ahead and got the oil change. He changed the sticker printout to read next estimated oil change for 6,000 miles vs 3,000 miles so I wouldn't come in prematurely next time. Blake was the technician, and I appreciated his consideration and great customer service. He even offered to knock money off due to longer wait bc their internet had temporarily gone off line during my visit, and I thanked him but said it wasn't necessary. He was also going to offer a coupon for money off this service if I didn't already have one, which I did have with me.

During oil change I asked about a fluid flush for my sealed transmission. I was surprised to hear it could be done while I waited in my car. I'd been told it couldn't be flushed by several shops, including the Mazda dealer. Half hour later, my car shifted like new and did a great job on a 400 mile trip the next day. The manager performed the flush and explained the entire process to me.
