A hiring process that was more stringent, to determine the actual quality of person being hired, less impetus to "Hot Hire" anyone just to fill holes. Most importantly, a manager in-store, who is persistently proactive with the staff and maintains a visual and active approach that fosters respect and personnel loyalty so that the employees have a solid example to follow. Quality leadership is always supposed to be priority one. Today's market as well as the potential (able to pay and involved) client's in it are tired of malaise, disinterest and the type of people who are adept at doing only what is necessary when they are under scrutiny. Hopefully someone reads this who has a genuine concern in alleviating the problems at this and other stores as Valvoline has an opportunity to do more than make a break even by accident.
