Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Terrible service. Drove in with a perfectly fine battery no issues prior to my oil change. Then when it came time to start my car my battery was dead. They claimed my lights may have been on during the oil change and that could exhaust my battery. Attempted to jump it and were unsuccessful. Then proceeded to tell me that they are supposed to check the battery prior to the start but they didn’t because apparently it’s hard to get to in a 2016 Honda pilot. They were now going to check it… of course it was a bad result as MY CAR BATTERY WAS DEAD. I left spending over 500 for an oil change and new battery. The guys working on my car were overly apologetic and offered me a 20% off next visit. Too bad there won’t be another visit after this terrible experience. When I filed a claim the manager was extremely unprofessional and inconsiderate of my complaints. There was no way to tell if my battery life was poor prior to the start, which again I had no issues prior. If the guys did their job right and check the battery at the get go they would have had valid proof that they had nothing to do with my battery dying. However they didn’t leaving me to think it was something they did and I needed to spend $ on a new one. I had a meeting for my child school to get to so I really didn’t have a choice but to buy one then and there. Very upsetting experience, I’ve been to valvoline many times before for oil changes and definitely won’t be back. ESP the Weymouth location, Hanover location has never given me issues.

The staff were friendly, efficient, and accommodating. They made sure I was aware of all available and recommended services for my vehicle without pushing me unnecessarily. When they found a problem with the drip pan under my car, they told me immediately, provided a theory as to the cause, and recommended a visit to the dealership to replace the damaged bolts they found.
