I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change (MA). After receiving an oil change, the skid plate on my vehicle detached twice while driving on the highway, creating a serious safety hazard. Fortunately, no one was injured.
The service manager, Jeffrey, was aware of the issue and advised me to file an insurance claim (Claim # CS2622921). However, it has now been more than three weeks with no response or communication, despite multiple follow-ups.
I depend on my vehicle for work, and given winter conditions in New England, this lack of response is unacceptable. Because no one contacted me about the claim, I ultimately had to pay out of pocket to fix the problem myself, as I could not wait any longer.
I hope this feedback prompts Valvoline to improve communication and accountability when customer safety is involved.
