Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I love going there. The staff are very friendly and helpful and explain everything to me. If there’s anything that needs to be changed to give me recommendation of where to go to get that change which I really love since I don’t really know how to buy cars I just drive mine LOL.

I hope this isn’t too long but I’m including everything. 2006 corvette. I usually come here for oil changes when I don’t have time to do them myself. They do a good job and the employees are always kind and helpful. Last time I was here a few weeks ago for an oil change they recommended my differential oil change too. It was due and I agreed. Afterwards, when making slow tight turns or backing in to a parking spot my differential felt like it was slipping badly. I emailed valvoline customer service online and let them know. I figured it’s likely either low oil amount or the oil didn’t have the right additive amount or something, the usual suspects in this situation. I got a call from the store location that I visited and they were polite but very defensive. They swore up and down they used the correct oil listed to use and it was filled all the way. I said that’s fine and I’m not accusing anyone of anything but after getting the service done I’m having an issue. I was told I could come back and they will prove to me it was filled all the way, very defensive. I said if it’s filled all the way that’s good but my car is still having this issue. All I cared about is fixing the problem and all they cared about was not getting blamed for doing anything wrong. Not good customer service. I said I’ll just go somewhere else and get it re done. I called valvoline customer service and requested a refund since I’ll have to go somewhere else to get the job done again. Still haven’t received an email back from them after a few days, just an another call from the store but I’m not looking to have the same conversation over again. I contacted GM. GM told me I need to use 88900330 limited slip oil additive on top of the synthetic oil and to do little slow figure eights in the parking lot afterwards to work the additive in. Valvoline doesn’t give their techs this information. So now I don’t know if I want to come back. Instead of working with me to fix the problem, which was all I cared about, I was met with “well we didn’t do anything wrong”.. even though I never said they did. They’ve made it weird now lol. These are nice employees working here and 99 times out of 100 I doubt you will have any issues. I will continue to recommend this place. However the 1 time you do have an issue they might not help you fix the problem that originated at their shop. Would still love that refund lol y'all have my main contact email
