I had spent a total of 2 plus hours for a single oil change and no other service needed/wanted. Three bays were open and I had arrived and was 1 of three waiting. The first 45-60 minutes spent waiting for the 3 stalls to finish. Once I got into a stall was told they have to go and get an oil filter they didnu2019t have. An employee went to get one, no issue with that. Came back and was the wrong filter and was told, u201cheu2019s just kinda spacey todayu201d. Middle of the service the compressor went down and was waiting for that to be serviced until they could continue work. They had used a hand pump at this point which worked. Overall, just not happy that I paid $80 to get and u201cinstantu201d oil change in 2 hours. No offer or word if there was something they could be done for the cost. Was expecting maybe a larger discount for the inconvenience.

I went to Valvoline to obtain an oil change and radiator fluid flush and got in the stall about 5:55 PM. I made it clear that I needed to be done by 6:30 PM. The manager stated he could complete the flush in about 5 minutes.What ended up happening was the manager took over 10 minutes to appear after the oil change was completed. He then showed the technician how to start the process, once tech was done it took over 5 minutes for manager to appear again. I reiterated how important this needed to be completed by 6:30 PM due to having to pay $180 for tennis lessons for my son today. The manager left again for over 15 minutes before he returned to continue assisting. By this time I was already late and I stated my displeasure with him and that I was now late. It took another 15 minutes to complete the rest of the service. The only thing he did was give me $20 off for the flush, which caused me to lose $160 for my child's lost tennis practice. He could have easily completed the flush himself or let me know that it was best for me to come back another time. He did neither. I will be calling corporate regarding this issue as I find this completely unacceptable.

The issue with Valvoline isn't the product itselfu2014it's the staff and their lack of urgency. When you enter the lot, it's unclear where to pull in, and just when you think you're next in line, a staff member comes out with the frustrating news that they need to switch cars around.The upselling is also an issue. I informed the service manager that I didnu2019t need to replace the air filter because I have a K&N air filter with a cleaning kit, and it was recently purchased. Despite this, the manager still questioned if I knew how to clean the filter and informed me that it would take two days before it could be reinstalled.I believe some customer service coaching is needed.

There is typically a lack of prioritization when it comes to the order in which customers are attended to. When I pulled up, all three bays were full and there were two vehicles in line for bay 1. I pulled up to bay two and proceeded to wait my turn. The car in front of me would not start for some reason and the staff was working on it. Didn't take long for the line of cars to file in all around me. Bay 3 finished and the next car pulled in which should have been me. They FINALLY got the car in front of me to start and I pulled in. Meanwhile I watched the car to my left finish and a second car pull in. The truck to my left finished and the second truck pulled in. They were about to finish up with the car to my right and I had to say something to the manager. It was VERY CLOSE TO TWO HOURS!!!!!! The manager apologized repeatedly but this does no good if nothing changes! It means nothing. This is not the first time this has happened to me at this location but this was the longest it's ever taken. This place is close and convenient and I use it to save myself time. I could've performed the service myself and saved a ton of money instead of wasting that much time!!!!
