I typically do my own oil changes at home, but I had some extra money, needed an oil change, and I wanted to get my transmission fluid checked if possible. My oil change was fine. However, Valvoline tested my battery and told me it was bad. They showed me a screen showing that my battery was running at a lower voltage than it should be. They told me I should urgently replace it and offered to sell me one for about $180. I didn’t believe them since I had replaced it in the last year. I sm a broke college student and couldn’t afford that anyway. I went to the neighboring Oreilly’s and had my battery tested. Sure enough, my battery, alternator, and starter were all in prime condition. I’m not sure if they tried to lie to me since I am a female and it can be assumed that I don’t know much about cars. I am quite disappointed that they tried to take advantage of me. I have lost all trust in Valvoline and will no longer be getting serviced here.

When I last visited they didn’t ask me to check my taillights,blinkers or break lights like they have done in the past. But my overall experience was very satisfying. The technicians were very friendly and efficient.
