My vehicle requires 0W30 oil. The cap says 0W30, and my dealership has always put in 0W30. However, I found out at the end of my time when they handed me the sticker that Valvoline staff put in 5w30. I asked the staff, and he said it would be fine. Later that day, I called my dealership and they said it’s not ideal, but it will be fine. I cannot figure out why the staff would put in oil other than what the cap says. It caused me to have to worry about it and call around to figure out if it is okay or not.
