I went to get a standard oil change and had a $10 coupon. Just a month or so before (I drive for uber) I paid $65 with taxes for that oil change. So I budgeted for a $55 oil change. Nope. My oil change was a $107.36 after the coupon and taxes for exactly the same service that was only $65 less than two months ago. A more than 100% markup in a month and a half is just nonsense no matter what is going on. During the Iraq war prices were not this high for regular car oil changes, and it is shameful that a non-full scale combat situation with Iran is being used as an excuse to gouge customers. Consumers are getting tired of geopolitical excuses for price hikes. I trusted your business and you nearly doubled the cost of your service just because you could. Now my business will go elsewhere.

The temporary surcharge is to account for the increased cost of the oil included in your oil change. This temporary surcharge is due to current fluctuations in the oil market environment. We chose to go with the temporary surcharge, instead of a permanent price increase.
