I have been a loyal customer for many years. I have had many many oil changes and have purchased batteries, as well as other services from Valvoline. Today I went into the Triad location and took a quiz and it stated that I would get 15.00 off of my oil change today and that the coupon was good until 10/3/2024. The bar code on my phone was scanned but the attendant indicated that the coupon was expired. How could it be expired it the coupon indicated that it didn't expire until 10/03/2024? I was told to go to Valvoline.com and see it there was a coupon that I could use. I found one for only 7.00 off the oil change. If the coupon was expired why didn't it let me know on my phone? I went in with a new vehicle to me, this was my first oil change on it, I knew it took synthetic oil by my own research but they offered me full synthetic or partially synthetic. I was not familiar with the difference so I ask what do you recommend or what is best for my car. He could not give me a direct answer, He said it's up to you. I said well there is a significant price difference so I do not want to pay more than needed. Still could no help me, so I went with the full synthetic oil which was about $25.00 more. Then recommended wind shield wipers and AI sad no. I am not sure if everything was supposed to be done on my vehicle or not, I don't think the air filter was checked . felt like a lazy day there , I was the only customer there when I pulled up so no excuse. ALso Before they could explain the oil to me and me decide I wanted to pay the high prices they had already drained my oil out of my car so I had to get the service! I told them as soon as I pulled in that this was a new vehicle to me and I had questions.
