Valvoline Instant Oil Change

A WARNING — AVOID THIS COMPANY COMPLETELY. I got my oil changed on 2/3/2026 at the Bryan Road Valvoline location in O’Fallon. When I arrived, I told them I previously had a bad experience at another Valvoline and asked them to PLEASE double-check everything before I left. The very next morning (2/4/26), I started my car to go to work and made it about three mailboxes down the street before it started stalling and shaking. The check engine light and oil light both came on. I was luckily able to get my car back into my driveway — only to realize that ALL of my oil had drained out onto the ground. So even after asking them to double-check their work, they still failed to properly service my vehicle. They don’t forget to try and upsell you, but they sure do forget to make sure your vehicle is serviced correctly. Because of this: • My driveway is now stained with oil • I had to go into my new job three hours late • My son was late to school • I now have to spend more of my time dealing with their claims department What’s even more concerning is while this was all happening, I told my neighbor and she said she doesn’t go to Valvoline because she’s already had a bad experience there. Then when I contacted work, a coworker told me the SAME thing happened to her with Valvoline before too. The ONLY positive from this whole situation was Donovan, who was sent to my house at 7 AM in the freezing cold. He is not a manager or assistant manager. He was not the one who serviced my car and none of this was his fault. I was very upset, but he stayed professional, fixed my car, tried to clean the oil off my driveway in the cold, kept me updated, arranged a refund, and even plans to come back tomorrow with a power washer to continue cleaning up a mess he didn’t cause. He is the ONLY employee who seemed to truly care and take pride in his work. I have already opened a formal claim with Valvoline corporate and expect this to be addressed quickly and fully. BUT VALVOLINE — GET IT TOGETHER. This is my SECOND claim with your company within a year. Two mistakes too many! I will never come back and will be sure to tell everyone I know to avoid your services. **EDIT: 2/8/2026 - I have not received my refund, I have not heard back from anyone in regards to my claim, no one has returned to further clean up the property damaged caused by my vehicle not being serviced properly (I’ve been told 2 separate times someone would be in contact and sent to my house to clean) - there has been chemicals on my driveway concrete since 2/4/26. And my vehicle is now LEAKING oil and causing more damage to my driveway. I am now without my car and even further inconvenienced by this company!!!

This is by far the worst experience I have had at this Valvoline! Multiple cars sitting in bays with next to nothing being done. Was moved over to Bay 1 after I told them I needed a tire rotation. Said they’d get it and move me back but yet they put someone else over there!!! Now I’m delayed another 20 minutes and have been here for 85 minutes already!!!! Beyond frustrated! After oils change found 2 other vehicles went to bay 3 for an oil change before I got over there! What in the world is going on here?!??? Now going to spend well over a $100 and almost 2 hours of my day!

Love coming here! The techs here are always super nice and professional. :) They always do a great job. Won't be going anywhere else.
