Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I usually have great service at Valvoline. Until today. Manager Jeffrey did the service, I thought I could trust him, I feel he took advantage of my lack of knowledge. I didn’t realize that my air filter was reusable. I recall him telling me it was dirty and he recommended changing it, I said ok, I trust you. Got charge almost $30 for it. He then asked if I wanted to keep the old one since it can be washed (I should have connected the dots at that point). I texted my spouse, didn’t hear back at first, decided to keep it at the same time as I got a text to confirm. After leave my husband tells me I shouldn’t have let them change it because ours was reusable. I get home; call Valvoline, Manager argues with me that I supposedly cut him off to say yes, and that he supposedly asked me twice if I wanted it changed (which I don’t recall). I would have gladly returned it to get my money back, but apparently that isn’t an option. Manager told me he wasn’t going to argue with me and left the call at that. I feel the honest thing would have been to say: your filter is dirty, it’s reusable, you should wash it. I won’t be back.
