unfortunately i have lost a good, close to home oil change spot. service member removed my cabin air filter and refused to replace it after it came out broken. i understand he’s limited by his management so i asked to speak with a supervisor. i also understand they can not give away free parts but i explicitly said i was not interested in getting anything but my oil changed, and repeated it several times to the service member that i was only there for an oil change. the manager otto called me a “b word” to his employees and argued for 20+ minutes with me, even saying i was confused on what a cabin air filter was (not even sure how he gathered that). i would’ve loved come to some type of agreement about a discounted part/oil change but otto said “i’m not going to do anything for you, i’ll give you the number to the complaint line”. i feel it is not insane to ask for that given i NEVER asked him to remove it in the first place! somehow miraculously when i got my dad on the phone he was able to replace the filter and to remember the words ma’am and sir. sucks that even going to a nationwide brand for something as simple as an oil change i can’t escape some man telling me i don’t know what i’m talking about.
