Took my car in for inspection on 7/2. It's an older model BMW and has some electrical issues, so often service lights come on when repairs are unnecessary. My car failed inspection due to a Service Engine light being on, which had me frustrated and frankly a little angry (as I thought it had to do with an Adaptive Headlight error message which is faulty). TJ was very professional in spite of my frustration and explained what caused my car to fail, a misfire in one of my engine cylinders. He took the time to explain it to me and that it was likely an ignition coil that needed replacement. My repair shop could not see me until 7/9, hardly ideal given I needed to renew my tags, so after a little research, figured out that I could get the ignition coil parts myself and do the replacement work with little difficulty. Because TJ was kind enough to explain the situation and the most likely culprit, I not only saved potential money on a diagnostics test, I also like saved upwards of $300 in repair work for a simple DIY task. After finishing, my Service Engine light went off and the car passed when I returned today. Thanks SO much to TJ for his professionalism and saving me money!

A female employee was very loud and yelling expletives for no apparent reason - total lack of professionalism.Upon informing the store representative of the services I needed, I had to get someone's attention to notify them of the grade of oil to use in the oil change - that should have been the first question they asked me! This resulted in having the individual putting new oil in my vehicle to stop, remove the oil and start over. Very bizarre interaction for what should be the basics.

I just moved from Florida to Charlotte and was unsure where to go. I called valvoline on the phone, and they were exceptionally friendly, saying there were no appointments needed and to drive up. As a female, usually i get bombarded with random extra fees or suggestions, but none of that happened. They were friendly instructing how the process works. They said it would be around 15 minutes to wait and 15 to complete, but the whole process took less than 10! The staff also knew exactly how to reset the oil change indicator and how to use the controls. My car is brand new, so it helped a lot. 100% coming back.
