I went to this location on 8/29/26 for a state inspection for a brand-new 2026 Kia Sportage. During the inspection, Caiman told me that my windshield wipers were “striking” and that they needed to be replaced in order for the vehicle to pass inspection. I found this very concerning because this is a brand-new vehicle, and just a day before the inspection we had driven it during a storm with heavy rain. At no point did we hear or notice any unusual noises or issues with the wipers. They recommended that I purchase new wipers from them and even offered me a discount. I declined because I did not believe they needed to be replaced. I was then told that I would still be charged for the failed inspection. I left and went to another inspection location only three blocks away. They inspected the same vehicle and found absolutely no issues. I specifically asked them about the windshield wipers, and they confirmed that they were perfectly fine and did not need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the experience at this location left me feeling that I was being taken advantage of, particularly as a woman and as someone who is pregnant. I expected a professional and honest inspection, especially for a brand-new vehicle. I would not recommend this place. My experience was extremely disappointing, and I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion if they are told their vehicle needs unnecessary repairs in order to pass inspection.
