Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Immediately upon arrival Malik approached my window to inquire about my desired services. I just needed a basic oil change. Then Johnny guided me into the bay and Vincent approached my window. I have never had an oil change with the exceptional customer service I experienced that day. I also appreciated that these gentlemen took pride in their appearance. They were well groomed, well-spoken and very knowledgeable. Any question asked was thoroughly responded to-- which helped me make informed decisions. Vincent performed a complementary light check while Johnny refreshed my window washer fluid and checked my transmission oil as well. Johnny and Vincent were in constant communication with each other throughout the process--that's great teamwork! They were so respectful and made me feel that my patronage was valued. Unfortunately, I didn't have any cash on me, but I would have like to give them a tip. I would like to suggest you add a feature to your POS system that allows customers to leave a tip if they are paying by credit card. I hope this review gets back to them with accolades from management. These gentlemen are a great asset to the company and set a standard of service that should be used in all training. In lieu of a tip I'm happy to write this review but I do hope they get rewarded somehow...maybe a free lunch!

Overall, the employees were affable and got their work done in a very timely manner. Oil, that they mentioned for usage, I said no to and showed a pic of the factory recommended oil, which they did use ... per paperwork. Their record keeping is what concerns me. I was going on a trip the very next morning. I noticed that the recommended oil change mileage was less than a 100 miles away, so I came for an oil change, which I explained to them was why I was there. When I was told the car was ready, I stepped out into the work area, car door was open, as I got in, was handed my fob and my paperwork, and immediately just tossed paperwork into the dash compartment, so I could get out of the way. As I drove out, I looked up and noticed there was not the typical sticker on the windshield to remind of next oil change. Thought, well, now I will not have to pull one off. Then the mailings started arriving. Oil change coupon, oil change reminder, etc, etc. I ignored them initially, as I have low miles on the car (took 15 months to get to oil change miles.) Then curiosity hit me. I took the papers, that I had not even looked at (see above, handed to me as I was getting into car still in work area) out of the dash. Instead of 4,993 miles ( as I said, just short of 5,000) and there was 4,493 miles. The next mailer came and yep, 4,493 miles listed on it. I now can only wonder WHICH oil did they use?
