Valvoline Instant Oil Change

One star because I couldn't leave zero! I have been using this Valvoline Instant Oil Change shop for over 15 years. About a week and a half ago I went in for an oil change. The next morning when I pulled from the garage I noticed just a little oil on the concrete. My car has never leaked before, yet after the oil change it developed a small leak. I took it back a few days later and asked them to check to make sure the oil filter and drain plug were properly tightened. They first found that the gasket on the drain plug had split. After replacing it the leak was still present and after further inspection they found that the oil pan had a small hairline crack coming from the drain plug out about an inch. They showed me the crack and the tiny leak coming from it. The manager made a phone call and after about 30 minutes called me in to talk. He informed me they had "done everything to spec" on the last oil change so I would need to get my oil pan replaced at my expense. The issue is there was no leak or crack evident during the previous oil change and it appeared immediately afterwards. Obviously the drain plug was tightened enough to split the gasket and apparently to also cause the hairline crack. I explained to the manager that I was not happy because it was very apparent that the crack occurred during the previous oil change and if they wouldn't take responsibility for it then I would never use Valvoline Instant Oil Change again and I would definitely not recommend to anyone that asked my opinion!
