Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I received excellent service from the team at Valvoline -- Elijah, Manuel, and Christopher had me in and out & helped to answer all of my questions.

Went for an inspection, new law states window tint not part of it. Alex McComiskey processed the whole thing and failed, didn’t have the kindness to give a heads up that the law isn’t active until December 1. It’s November 20th, so not even a week away. Now I have to go back again to an inspection station and waste time/money, and potentially remove slightly darker tint or ride with an expired tag and a waiver for 30 days. When asked why he didn’t say anything he claimed he can’t. Common courtesy would dictate that they should have stopped me from coming in or said something before failing car. Normally y’all do my oil changes too, you’ve lost a customer for life. Do not do business here.

I want nothing more than to leave a good review simply because the people that work at this location are beyond lovely. They are kind and personable. Beyond that though it has been a 1 star experience. When I went for an oil change the man who was printing my receipt let me know that my tires were a little low on air. Less than a week later my tire was so shredded that pieces of the tire were wrapped around my breaks and wheel well (pictures attached). This was a very dangerous situation which could have been prevented by them. Despite saying I had low tire pressure, my tires were not filled for some unknown reason. So I spent $800 on new tires a week later. A smaller issue: they never reset my service engine light, however, always check that it has been reset on my receipt. The BIGGEST issue is that they said my fluids were topped off. Specifically my transmission fluid is marked on my receipt that it was checked and in okay range. Suddenly I am having transmission issues and it turns out my transmission fluid is COMPLETELY empty. My car is practically no longer drivable. And this is largely due to their neglect in taking preventative steps. Some serious training is needed. My life was in danger leaving with my vehicle in the state they allowed me to leave with, and I was none the wiser. This was either a case of not being trained properly or maybe a case of simply being lazy. But regardless the reasoning, my vehicle was damaged in the process.
