Recently took vehicle to Valvoline for oil change. I've gone to this location several times, but this is the first time I was satisfied enough to complete a survey. I couldn't be happier with the service Mujtaba (I think he goes by Mark?) provided. He took the time to explain the process, the delay, and answered all of my questions. He was funny, he was patient, he calmed me down as I grew impatient, and he kept it real. He wasn't pushy about additional services. The service wasn't as quick as I wanted it to be, but the team was efficient. I have already referred several people to this location specifically so they can have the pleasure of interacting with Mark. Overall, I was highly satisfied w my experience.

They "installed" an engine air filter and a cabin air filter. When I drove home, I noticed a rattling noise. When I opened the hood, I noticed that they had not closed the air filter box clamps, and they also left a clamp to the air box loose. They didn't finish the installation, meaning that dirty air could bypass the filter and get into by fuel/breather system. When I returned to the shop and told them what happened, instead of apologizing, they tried to deny that they had opened the box or the clamp. I'm not sure how you change the air filter without opening the box and the clamp on my model of vehicle. Also, when they changed the cabin filter, they only replaced one of the two screws holding it in place. I found the second screw two days later after it fell out below the glove box (where the cabin filter is). This was an awful experience and the mechanic was rude and dishonest. Ironically, I had tipped him $20 for his work. I'm sorry I did that, but I figured hey, these are kids just trying to make ends meet. (I was a mechanic while I attended school). Overall, this was a really bad experience and I won't be coming back again.

When they drained the old oil, they didn't show me the new filter when they dated it. They put it on without following that process. I had to wonder if they actually put on a new filter. They had to go underneath and take a picture of the new filter so I could see for myself that it was actually changed. When they printed the sticker for my window, it did not have the mileage listed for when it should be changed again. Only a date. I had to ask them to write the mileage in for me. I didn't leave feeling 100% that everything was done correctly.
