Disclaimer: not trying to bash a business or any specific employee but bring awareness to other customers, as the same may happen to them due to a decline in service and skill provided by Valvoline. My dad got an oil change from Valvoline in EHT and unfortunately whoever performed the oil change did not properly change it. This resulted in a large amount of oil being spilled in the engine bay and subsequently soaking his alternator, causing it to fail the day after the service. When contacted and informed about the situation, they stated we should’ve initially brought in the car as is for them to further assess and assist. However, the car was not in a drivable condition and if we had not gone in ourselves to discover the large amount of spewed oil and soaked alternator, we could have not known the damage was from their oil change. We were offered an amount of free oil changes to rectify the situation, so a solution was presented, but obviously mistrust has grown and we will unfortunately no longer be using their services even after being long time customers. Please be aware when getting your car serviced there! One again this is not to bash the business or employees but bring awareness to customers, especially those who may not be car savvy and do not have the resources to fact check a business they instill their full trust in to provide quality service to their vehicles.

Don’t use this location! Got oil change 10/5 oil everywhere it fried my alternator -payed over $500 for the mechanic to fix the day after 10/6 & NOW they say vehicle had to be brought in messed up. They weren’t going to pay for tow! EHT, NJ. Had to take the alternator off to find it soaked in oil to discover the issue so please explain how/why I would have known the issue ahead of time. Apparently this company also employs mind readers OR this “mistake” is made often enough must be why the service is horrible. No intention on ever coming back so a “ free oil change “ won’t cut it. Refund the Oil change payed for on 10/5! UPDATE @ Jamie with business. Thank you but after going back to the shop today apparently in the small print what your company expects is that if a customers car has an issue after an oil change I should call them schedule a technician to come to my house and in the interim rent a car if it is determined to be the fault of valvoline the car will be fixed and the rental reimbursed! Honestly such BS oh & when the “ gentleman “ who initially did the oil change saw the vehicle and all the oil all over the engine he was like “wow”. Why would an employee a knowledge responsibility when his employer doesn’t. Guess the fact that they cleaned the oil off the engine isn’t admitting any sort of guilt. Again people for your own good don’t go here !
