Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I've been to this Valvoline Instant Oil Change location before for oil changes, and I want to start by saying the team on the Oil change side has always been professional and provided good customer service. That part of the experience has consistently been positive. On February 28, I had an oil change done and was given a voucher for a free car wash next door that was valid for 10 days. On the 10th day, which was the last valid day to use it, I stopped by early in the morning before work so I would use it before it expired. When I handed the voucher to the employee at the car wash entrance, he immediately told me I would have to pay without even checking the date. I politely explained that the voucher was still valid because it was the 10th day, meaning it would expire the following day. He quickly grabbed the paper back from my hand in an aggressive manner and went to check with someone else. When he came back, he allowed me to proceed. However, his attitude remained rude and impatient. He gave instructions on how to align my car for the wash, but because he was speaking quickly and aggressively, I didn't fully understand what he meant. Instead of calmly clarifying, he repeatedly said things like " Do you not understand what I said?" in a disrespectful tone. Once the wash was finished and my car reached the drying area, the employee drying the car with a towel was kind and professional. He even shared that the employee I interacted with goes by the name "Don Luis." Unfortunately, the interaction at the entrance created a very negative experience for me before starting my workday. While I will continue to trust the oil change side of Valvoline because they always been professional, this experience at the car wash was unpleasant enough that it will be the last time I use that service there. I hope management can address customer service at the car wash entrance so future customers have a better experience.
