Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I have been going to this location for a few years now and it has been fine till today. ( 1-26-2026 ) 12 noonish) I have a toyota camry. The technician said for full synthetic it would be 100. I say ok then show him a coupon for 25. A few minutes later he shows me my old "oil filter housing "and says I need to replace it for 50 ?? It appears fine I see no cracks or damage ? He then says if I don't you risk blowing your engine yet he NEVER explained what was wrong with the old one ?? (I wish I would have saved it) I was rattled a bit by the hard sell and agreed reluctantly. I then get the reminder sticker and it says come back in 3k miles ?? I told him I have done my full synthetic every 5k miles for the past 10 years and I am almost positive that's what toyota says ??!! He avoided a straight answer and ground guided me out.

I'm writing this review about the helpful gentleman Diavonte, if it weren't for him checking out my car today I would have left with the problem that I came in with. I was here a few weeks back for oil change, and since that time my car pulled up a notification that the oil was at 1%. I said that cant be possible I dont drive often and I was here two weeks prior. There was also a smell so I noticed something was wrong. Today I brought it back in and initially another gentleman, who didnt even look under the hood just decided to tell me I needed to buy more oil and that was the issue. He said '' this is vegas oil burns fast. Well I never in my life had to change oil after 3 weeks of having it just changed. LUCKILY Diavonte was under my car looking to check further at what could be the issue because he knew it wasnt me needing more oil. Diavonte found the problem and it was leaking due to something not being properly tightened the circular tube idk what its called but he made sure to explain to me what he was doing every step of the way and fixed the problem I came in with. I think the workers here are very friendly, but I will have to ask for Diavonte next time I go here because I just cant trust 1-2 of the other workers due to me having to come back with this issue, and today the other gentleman who gave me incorrect information and tried to tell me I needed more oil and tried to charge me for it too when that wasnt the problem. Diavonte heard the whole matter and took care of me and I left satisfied and feeling safe. Thank You again to Diavonte for helping me today. You took the time to look at the issue and resolved it.

Very disappointing experience. This Valvoline location sent me back twice because they couldn’t confirm the correct oil type and filter type. After that, they kept me waiting for over an hour, only to finally tell me they don’t have the right tools to change the oil filter. I went to another Valvoline branch right after, located at pecos Rd & Wigwam pkwy and they completed the oil change quickly and without any issues. This was the worst Valvoline experience I’ve ever had—poor communication, wasted time, and lack of basic equipment. I would not recommend this location at all.
