The man who performed my service had very limited knowledge of cars per his own statement. He gave poor advice about tire rotation. I ended up taking the car to my mechanic afterwards. I called ahead to ensure an inspection could be completed. I arrived within 10 minutes of calling to be told that the inspector was not available.

Staff was not on the same page. I was asked to move from lane to lane saying it would be faster over and over. The last time I was told to move k told the worker that I was repeatedly told to stay where I was for speed and then was forced to move again and reassured I would still be out by one. After moving I was in fact not out by one and the car behind me who stayed where I tried to stay was out before me and before 1.

I was told my car has a MAJOR oil leak and that putting new oil in would result in it just pouring on the ground. I was told to take the car to my regular mechanic. I brought the car to Firestone, where I had just had the car fully serviced 1 month ago and it passed the NYS inspection. I had tires and other work done but did not do the oil change since it was not yet quite due. I had not observed any leak of oil on the ground. Firestone indicated that several customers had come to them with the same reported issue from Valvoline - major leak. Firestone proceeded to change my oil - car is fine. Not sure what is going on at this Valvoline location - maybe they don't want to change oil in older cars?
