I’ve always gone to this Valvoline because they are kind, quick, and have recognized my military background with the military discount (after I present my valid military ID). This visit, when I asked if they still did the military discount since I’m a dependent of a veteran, I was told “You didn’t go through what your father did in the service, I understand you had hardships as a military kid, but I can’t give you the discount.” I feel that this statement was completely unnecessary and really hurtful. I never EXPECT to get a military discount, and have been denied plenty of times in a respectful way. After my mother called the manager, we discovered that this facility’s policy is only veterans and active duty for the military discount, which is completely fine and valid, I just wish it was better explained and that the policy was stated to me (especially because I have visited many times before and been given the military discount). Like I mentioned, the manager is aware and an investigation is taking place, I just hope that moving forward, employees can better explain policies to military personnel and families in a respectful way.

I paid for a full synthetic oil change and they did not drain the pan and then added more oil on top. They told me I was good to go and within 5 minutes white smoke started pluming out my exhaust. Turns out that my engine had way too much oil and it was burning with the gas. I had to take to back to everything redone again and the car still does not feel right. The staff working my car did not know what they were doing

Despite being behind one other car at the door the wait was about 30-40 minutes. I was in line so long I was greeted for a second time. There was quite a bit of upselling although I was glad to get my cabin air filter replaced. This was a break from work and my entire lunch hour was spent on this oil change. The reason I have used this location is speed of service and low level of upselling.
