I go too long between oil changes because I have anxiety when people try to constantly upsell me on services. It was my first time at this Valvoline location and no one tried to upsell me ANYTHING.
I was asked about my cabin filter and wiper blades, but didn't pressure me to have them checked. One time at another oil change center a dude took my glovebox out to check my cabin filter without even asking if it was okay! They did pop my engine filter out to show me but didn't pressure me to change it, he said it still looked good.
Both of the guys working on my car topside (Aaron & Juan) were extremely friendly and threw in just the right amount of chit chat but didn't talk my ear off.
I might actually start getting my oil changed at the appropriate intervals rather than waiting until I feel I shouldn't go one more day.
Side note, am I the only person that has an irrational fear that I'm going to drive my car into the holes in the floor at these places??
