Bought a new HR-V and took it here for my first oil change.
When it came time for my 2nd, I went to Take 5 (had a coupon). They only pulled a SINGLE QUART of oil out of my engine.
There are two possibilities for this: either my new car was leaking/using oil, or Valvoline did not instill the full ~4.5 quarts my car needed.
I waited 2 months and drove 3,000 miles before writing this review. I checked my engine oil level regularly. It has stayed full the entire time as one would expect a new vehicle to do. Additionally, there were no oil spots in my garage, nor smoke in my exhaust.
The problem here is obvious: this Valvoline location only put a SINGLE QUART of oil into my car. This could have been an absolute disaster for me. It could still cause issues.
Valvoline uses a machine to automatically dispense their oil which makes it impossible to tell if the correct amount is actually going in. In fact, they probably used the last quart in its resevoir on my car that day. At Take 5, however, they manually add oil using a clearly marked translucent container to ensure the customer can see exactly how much is being added.
If you value the health of your car's engine, I HIGHLY recommend avoiding this location entirely and taking your car somewhere you can trust.
