So I took my 2000 wrangler in for service and got almost every service they offer, as I left I noticed my second gear was grinding. They used valvoline vps which is close to a 75w90 gear oil. I went in today and talked to the team because my jeep calls for 75w80 and the nv3550 is extremely picky about fluids. After the entire staff and myself looked it up we came to the conclusion that the fluid was too thick and lacks the correct viscosity causing the 2nd gear synchro to fail at sychronysing the gear to the correct speed causing the grind on down shift to second gear. Scott the manager came by and I explained the situation to him and he told us that it was the right fluid even tho we all agreed it wasn’t after looking it up multiple times, Scott then told us to leave after we told him we are on vacation and had no where to stay, his suggestion was to wait until the local shops open and take it to them for diagnostic knowing we had no place to stay, he has no people skills and talked down to my wife and I the whole time. All it would have taken was doing the right thing.

TJ was exceptional throughout my whole visit. They were done before I knew it while he explained the services that would be due soon and went over prices with me. He gave me easy instructions throughout the process for checking the oil level, etc.
When I left, the other man (bearded and piercings) said goodbye to me by name! This was my best visit to this location, and I’ve been going there for five years! Kudos to their whole team!
