The person being trained had trouble getting out the air filter. I noticed that he spend a considerable time with the screwdriver, but not as much when putting a new filter in. When I drove a block to Fred Meyer I noticed my car was driving rough. The next day it would idle and then die. Fortunately, our neighbor is a mechanic and he suggested that we check the vacuum line. Turns out that that had come undone during the messing around trying to get to the air filter. My husband says he will have to keep a more careful eye on the oil change people while they are under the hood. This will be tricky since they don't like you to get out of your car. I am concerned that if I hadn't had capable mechanical people around I would have spent a lot more time and money getting my car back to normal. The poor kid was just learning, but more training or supervision or help for him from the trainers would have been ideal.
