Came here to get an oil change. During the process, the guy tested my battery. He told me it was in the red and needed replaced. He even showed me the scary monitor showing my car battery was in the red and had very little juice left. Then he tried selling me a battery. Now, he wasn’t pushy, which I appreciated, but, as soon as someone tries selling me something, red flags go up. I did not take him up on his offer. He changed my oil and I was on my way, in no time. They did a great job changing my oil, no complaints there. After leaving, I still had some lingering anxiety about the battery so I went straight to a place where my battery would be tested in front of me. Low and behold, my battery was perfectly fine. I don’t appreciate the tactics used to upsell me. There are plenty of oil change places around me so valvoline just lost a customer.

Was due for an oil change and with the cold weather I also needed air in my tires (sensor was on) and refill on washer fluid. Tried to upsell me during the oil change, and then as I was pulling out I noticed my tire pressure sensor was still on. I asked if they added air and they immediately just put air in without answering me. Then I got out onto the road and my washer fluid light came back on. I had to stop and buy washer fluid and it took the ENTIRE jug of it, so obviously they didn’t add any. My receipt says my tire pressure was “checked” and was at 35, which was a lie- it was at 29 in each tire when I asked them about adding air. My receipt also says “added” to washer fluid - another lie. For $100+ for an oil change, they should at least do the bare minimum. Don’t recommend due to blatant dishonesty.

Came in to have my oil changed. They check everything and try to sell additional services. They told me my battery was bad and that it needed replaced. Told me if I buy it there then it’s covered for 3 years. I tell them that I bought it there a year ago and it’s covered. They then proceeded to retest the battery 3 times and tell me it’s then fine and won’t be replaced. Do not trust these people.
