We have 2 vehicles that need oil changes, it would have been our first time using Valvoline since we just moved to the area. We tried to call ahead and got an AI machine who just kept telling us ‘walk ins welcome’ and their website said 0-10min wait. So we loaded up our toddler and drove over. We got there and there’s a huge line of cars waiting and you have to remain with your car in line. They share a parking lot with a restaraunt, so we parked, figured we’d get our daughter some food and then hop in line. Someone immediately came running out asking if we were parking, we explained we need oil changes, but since the line is so long, we were going to grab our kid some food and come back and get in line. They insisted we couldn’t leave our car for any amount of time because ‘someone needing an oil change might come and need it’ we explained we need oil changes and we were coming back, and they insisted again we can’t stay. So we will be going elsewhere for our oil change. On top of poor interaction with the staff, AI is getting ridiculous. If we had been able to talk to a person before driving out or seen that the wait time was not actually 0-10 min, all of this could have been avoided. 0/10
