Valvoline Instant Oil Change

Joe I believe was his name was amazing, super friendly, very informative of services and overall great!

My wife took her truck in for an oil change; was told she needed to have coolant flushed. Then was told she had to go to a mechanic because they "didn't want to break the 'hose'." Finished the oil service and left. Went next door and found HUGE PUDDLE Of oil under her truck. Takes truck back. Tech tells her that the other guy didn't clean her skid plate off and 'took care of it'. She goes to Hy-Vee a few blocks away. EVEN BIGGER PUDDLE UNDER TRUCK. goes back AGAIN! Tech pulls filter and changes it; then proceeds to tell her that her oil cooler was leaking, and that was why there was a puddle. Tries to tell her there was no oil in her truck when she came in the first time. I will point out now that at NO POINT BEFORE THIS; was there ANY spotting under that truck. She asked why she wasn't told that she had no oil; to which the guy goes around to the other two standing around and asks them to which one didn't remember if it was low or not and the other didn't respond. He comes back to the window and says, yeah it was low. The guy downstairs remembered. We ask for a manager at this point because the he said, they said stuff is beyond ridiculous. No manager even there! My wife had to call the next morning to file a claim; to which, yes, the manager was reamed out hard for the bull *spit* we've dealt with till then. Thank God we were able to get squeezed in to our real mechanic and get sorted out the next day. The actual mechanic found no oil cooler leak; he says the most likely cause was the first oil filter installed was double gasketed; and the tech tried covering up the issue by claiming the cooler was leaking. For the record. The oil cooler is NOT leaking. Mechanic also found that the tech did not clean out the pan from the leaked oil like they claimed. I will not be recommending services from this Valvoline ever again.
