Make sure your staff know what they’re doing. I went in for an oil change. All was well there, but there had been a miscommunication and they almost didn’t change the oil filter because of their poor communication. Then the attendant that filled the oil(seemed new, with no personality) overfilled the oil pan. He showed me the dipstick and it far exceeded the amount of oil that should have been in there. I asked him to clean and re-dip the stick for confirmation that it was overfilled and he did. Well it definitely was over the top of the measuring portion of the stick. I voiced my concern and he said it would be fine. I then had another oil crew correct the mistake and they withdrew a significant amount of oil. Please make sure that your attendants understand that overfilling oil in a car could cause significant or irreparable damage to a car.
