The day after, a large pool of oil was under my truck. I took it back. I was told the oil pan plug was leaking and I needed to go get another oil pan plug and bring it back to them. I was told that it should be changed every time I had an oil change. Problems with this: It had not been changed the last time I had been at that place several months before (plug was still yellow Ford plug). I have never been asked to provide a plug for an oil change at Valvoline. I was asked to keep driving the truck (and go get another plug) that was badly leaking when I had arrived. It almost completely stopped leaking after I had returned so it appears it was not tight enough when I arrived. My conclusion: they made mistakes and lied to cover it up. I can accept some mistakes but not lies.

First, many of the staff were pleasant, polite and showed pride in their work. Less desirable is the continual attempt to upsell services and products that are just not needed nor should be being recommended. Example, stating air filter was extremely dirty and overdue being replaced - and potentially damaging to car. Hmmm... On inspection after spouse returned home found only thing dirty on filter was the greasy/grime hand & finger smears on the filter - makes one wonder where they came from? This has happened previously and does not instill confidence to the consumer with tones of management and/or corporate influence and possible sales motivations. I choose Valvoline for a reason of quality product and reliability of service. These continuing interactions and ever increasing prices are not a successful plan for continued business.
