Valvoline Instant Oil Change

I am not one to write many bad reviews; check my history. I went here for an oil change today, knowing it might take some time. When I arrived, there were two open bays, each with three cars. To avoid blocking the driveway, another car and I backed into an area that looked like a parking space. An employee came out and started talking to the cars in front of us, having them move. Apparently, one car didn't want to wait, which was the reason for the move. However, that left both lanes with only one car, as the other women and I were parked a couple of car lengths back. A car pulled into the lot, and the employee directed him in front of us. I honked my horn to get his attention, and he started over, and I asked why he was letting the guy in front of us in. He said he was here first, but I had just arrived, which was incorrect. I told him I had been sitting there for 20 minutes (rounded up), and he basically called me a liar and said again that I had just arrived, even though he had watched me pull into that lot. I checked my watch and realized I was wrong; it had been 16 minutes. Sorry, my mistake. I told him, and he literally shook his head and walked away. What great service skills. So I called Firestone across town, made an appointment in an hour, and also called the Valvoline phone number. I started telling Naomi, maybe her name, what happened. She, I assumed, listened to me, but when I said something, she hung up. I want nothing from these people. I’ve been there only once before, so I wasn't upset about waiting. I knew there would be a wait; it’s first-come, first-served. However, I will never go back. I know losing my $150 a couple of times a year won't hurt them, but that's how capitalism works. If they fail to serve, fire them. Kinda sucks, they are convenient...

Great service and very professional.

Grumpy staff. I had an oil change and air filter replacement. I found later that my air filter wasn’t hooked back up properly and had to reattach everything myself. Now I wonder if anything else was done shoddy or improperly.
