Took twice as long as it should have. When the guy could not open my hood I should have known I was in trouble.

I called the number for the local Valvoline instant oil change to inquire about an oil change for a 2025 Chevrolet Silverado Z71 diesel pickup with a 6.6 liter engine and told the person I was talking to all of the above information. I was put on hold then was told 115.82 plus tax. I originally bought the truck from the Stan McNabb Chevrolet dealership in Tullahoma TN so I called their service department to see how much it would cost for an oil change. Stan McNabb quoted me 112.82 plus tax. It was no brainer to go to the Valvoline instant oil change. After I arrived, I had to wait because only one person at this facility could perform an oil change on my engine type and they started draining the oil from my engine. Then they proceeded to tell me that they only had one oil type for my engine type and would cost 163 dollars and some change plus tax, but fortunately I have a 25 dollar off coupon. What was I to do at this point? Tell them to put the oil back in my engine so I could go somewhere else? Traditional bait and switch routine. After I returned home, just as an experiment, I called the same number back and asked the same question again. This time I was offered two oil types, the cheaper one for 115.82 plus tax but was told that it was not made for my engine type and the other would have to be used and the change would be 163.00, so their was never really two oil types and I was led to believe that the total cost of the oil change would be 115.82 plus tax. At this point I asked to speak to customer care and was transferred where I had to repeat this entire story and was hung up on. Unfortunately I called back and had to tell the entire story again only for the representative to apologize and offer coupons for my next visit. Here is the lesson I learned. Never have my oil changed at this institution because they were not truthful when asked initially and did not inform me of the cost until after they were already draining the oil from my truck. Do not go to this place.
