At the end of service, the skid plate was not appropriately reconnected. When the car departed the skid plate dislodged and dragged on the street. Valvoline was immediately contacted; the instructions were to proceed to another Valvoline location to look at the issue. The skid plate was removed with no explanation of the problem or admission that Valvoline was responsible. We have no idea if another skid plate has been ordered and if it will be replaced. We contacted the manager of the Valvoline location, he was not helpful with the issue at all.

All staff needs to know the actual pricing of services or parts before speaking and if they don’t know then they need to say they need to check first. We had to pay for the service and parts before they were finished and the part didn’t end up fitting our vehicle so then we had to wait while they called customer service to do a return. They then had to ring us back up and because you don’t get your return right away we had to use another method of payment that we did not want to do so that was very unfortunately for us. The original gentleman that helped us for most of the visit was very nice but seemed to possibly be new because he had to come back and correct himself about 3-4 times and then we still had the issue when we checked out.

I’ve spent years as a mechanic doing my own maintenance and finally got tired of doing it myself. I’ve tried quite a few different drive in service centers and this is by far the best one I’ve ever been to.
