Years of great service, what changed? I’ve been bringing my vehicles to this Valvoline location for years, and my experience has always been excellent. From my very first visit, I was impressed by how professional, friendly, and genuinely kind the staff were. Regardless of who assisted me or which service bay I pulled into, the customer service was consistently outstanding. We’ve trusted this location with all our vehicles for years. Unfortunately, my visit this afternoon was a completely different experience. Ruben was the primary person assisting us, handling everything from checking our account information and confirming the requested service to processing payment and answering our questions. From the very beginning, his attitude came across as rude, flippant, condescending, and belittling. The way he spoke to us was disappointing and completely inconsistent with the level of customer service we’ve come to expect from this location. I do want to acknowledge that Jeremiah, who performed the oil change, was pleasant and nice, both during his working on the vehicle and showing us the new oil. However, the overall experience was still disappointing, especially given the many years of positive experiences that brought us back time and time again. It’s unfortunate to see such a stark difference in customer service at a place we’ve trusted for so long. Years of loyalty should count for something, and basic courtesy and respect should be a given. At this point, I’m seriously reconsidering whether we’ll continue bringing our vehicles here and taking our patronage elsewhere. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because this is not the kind of experience that keeps longtime customers coming back.
