I waited as the oil filter for my mini was not in stock and I understood it would take time as they got the part for a local store. However, it was discovered by the mechanic the filter replaced was either wrong or put on incorrect and caused my oil to leak.

This visit there were a lot of customers so I understand the wait. However, that doesn't excuse the virtually non existent courtesy or friendliness of the staff. Multiple staff members were working on my vehicle and none of them explained what they were doing or why. At one point, it looked like their tool wasn't working to extract the oil and they never once explained what was happening. The whole experience wasn't what I have experienced at Valvoline in the past so I was disappointed.

The employee who guided my car into the garage area was very patient. This always causes me a bit of anxiety. All staff members who interacted with me were professional and kind. I really appreciated how the employees called out each action as it was being done or after it was done. I think this is a good way of double checking your own work as well as making the customer feel confident in the ability of those working on your car. An additional service was recommended to me and explained but at no point did I feel pressured to have this service done.
