Took my vehicle to get an oil change on Monday, April 6th, and one of the employees broke my hood prop. I noticed when they were trying to bend it to fix it. They told me it was fine, but something told me that was not the case. As soon as I left, I checked it, and of course it was broken. I turned around, and they tried to fix it again, to which I told them they needed to replace it due to how damaged it was.
I was told to call Valvoline customer service and submit a claim. I did right away, and I was told I would hear back from them in about 24 hours. It is now April 9, and no one has reached out to me. I called customer service back, and to my surprise, they had been waiting for some kind of link the shop is supposed to send to order the part, and that has not been done.
The care representative reached out to the district manager, and he was not even aware of the issue. He was not much help either. He gave the care representative the store manager’s direct phone number, and she just got her voicemail.
At this point, I don’t even know if the part was even ordered. I will never bring any of my vehicles back to this location. Poor communication and no quick action or accountability for their mistake.
