I normally have a great experience with valvoline. Today was pretty disappointing for several reasons. I came in for an oil change. I was told that I had zero transmission fluid. They said it was completely dry! This made me feel panicked because this car has never leaked transmission fluid. I initially felt distressed that I’d been driving my car with no atf! They recommended a flush for $160. I did turn it down because I wanted to check things myself. I checked it myself right after and it was completely fine! Not dry at all!!! My dipstick does look a bit different than some other cars but either they’re uneducated or they are pushing to make a sale. They also said my oil was totally dry and I knew that was false! I checked it myself the day before and it was low but not dry! I hate the dishonesty! They overfilled my oil and it was dripping afterwards. Lovely. There was also no line and it took significantly longer than 15 minutes. Lastly, the guy helping me at the register was new… but he kept leaving mid conversation with me to talk to other staff!? He had to retype my email 3 times because it was “invalid”- aka he wasn’t listening while I was talking. He forgot to give me the sticker for my windshield, I had to ask for it. And he said he’d help me reset the oil life indicator and he didn’t. Definitely some more training needed and overall I was not impressed with the professionalism. Not sure if I will return to this location.
