I usually go to the Orem location for my oil changes, but I stopped at this location because it was on my way to work. Unfortunately, I left frustrated after discovering that my hood strut had broken.
When I brought it up, the staff member assisting me said it was likely because my car was old. While that may be a possibility, I also mentioned that it could have happened if the hood strut wasn’t properly latched back into place during the service. I’ve never had any issues with my hood strut after previous oil changes.
After speaking with my husband, who regularly checks under the hood, he confirmed there didn’t appear to be any pre-existing issue with the hood strut. I was disappointed with how quickly the situation was dismissed rather than having the possibility of a service-related mistake considered.
