I used to have great experiences at the Valvoline on Plank Road in Fredericksburg. The staff was friendly, quick, and professional. However, since new management took over, the location no longer honors Groupons, which I had purchased in good faith before the change in ownership.
When I went to use my Groupon, I was told it could not be accepted due to the new management, even though it was still valid and listed for this specific location. Now, unless I want to drive 45 minutes away, I can’t use what I already paid for.
While I understand new ownership can bring new policies, this change leaves loyal customers stuck with unusable purchases. It would be great if Valvoline corporate or the new management could honor existing Groupons purchased before the transition or provide a credit/refund option

I went to this Valvoline for an oil change and they screwed the oil cap on so tight I can’t get it off. I’ve even tried using an impact drill to try to take it off. Please beware of this! I’ll now have to find a shop that can unscrew it. If I can’t get it taken off, I’ll need to replace the filter housing which is more than double what I paid for this oil change. Terrible.
